Thermal labels
They are made of material that contains a thermosensitive layer. Thanks to this layer, the label changes its colour to black when heated and thus creates the necessary variable data or text in the printer.
Devices for overprinting are mostly thermal scales, thermal printers, or a combination with a labelling line, but do not use thermal transfer ribbons as a printing medium.
Thermal self-adhesive labels are widely used in the food and logistics industry in two versions:
Thermo ECO with a matt surface – ideal as labels for scales or for box labelling
Thermo TOP with a semi-gloss surface – this type has top-coat protection, which improves resistance to scratching or soaking the label with moisture from the product. This type of label is also ideal for use as so-called Supplementary to the main graphic label on the product.
