Cold embossing is a simpler alternative to hot embossing, where glue is applied to the surface of the label using flexo or offset printing technology, where the metallic foil is then pressed against the surface of the material and finally hardened by passing through a UV lamp.
The result after tearing off the foil from the surface of the material is a beautiful metallic image on your label.
The resulting effect is not as perfect as with hot embossing, but the advantage is a lower purchase price for the preparation of the printing form and a higher speed of application.
It is often used in cosmetic and pharmaceutical products, but also in wine and alcoholic beverages.
